Peter Julian has been the Member of Parliament since 2004 in Burnaby-New Westminster, a strong community he proudly calls “one of the most diverse areas in the world with more than a hundred different languages spoken and all major faiths being practiced”.
Born and raised in New Westminster, Peter recognizes the hard working, honest people who have built solid community links and welcoming neighbourhoods in Burnaby-New Westminster. With his own family roots going back four generations, Peter is committed to strengthening Burnaby-New Westminster both locally and on the national level through his work as a Member of Parliament.
In Ottawa, he has been working hard to help create policies and programs that will build a better Canada and foster a society that is diverse, vibrant and inclusive for Canadian families. A Canada where children have clean air, clean water and quality education, where seniors have better care and dignity, where new Canadians have the policies and programs that will allow them to realize their potential. A Canada where we protect our planet, secure our homes and our communities, respect workers’ rights and commit to civil liberties and equality.
His solid community links and commitment to hard work have earned him the reputation as “one of the region’s hardest working politicians”*, and he looks forward to having the opportunity to continue to work for the people of Burnaby-New Westminster.
